The vRack allows you to configure private network addressing between two or more OVHcloud Dedicated Servers. But it also allows you to add Public Cloud instances to your private network so that you can create an infrastructure of both physical and virtual resources.
- a vRack service activated in your account
- a vRack-compatible Dedicated Server
- access to your OVHcloud Control Panel
- your chosen private IP address range
Create a Public Cloud project
Log in to your OVHcloud Control Panel.
Click on the
Bare Metal Cloud menu and then click the
Under the Order menu, click on the
Cloud project button.
Give your project a name, read and accept the contracts, and then click the
Select a payment method and then click
Create my project
Once your project is set up, you will need to add it to the vrack. Click on
Bare Metal Cloud and then on
Select your exisitng vRack, then select your Cloud Project, then click on
Next, you need to enable private networks. Click the
Enable private networks button on the project page.
Here you can create your networks setup and name the network. Once this is setup to your preference click on
Create a Public Cloud instance
On your project page, click the
Create an instance button.
Select your Model, Region, and Image. Then choose your Private Network.
Finally, choose your billing period and then click the
