Find out how to activate your free Start 10M hosting plan.
- a domain name, detached from any Web Hosting plans, in the OVHcloud Control Panel
- access to the OVHcloud Control Panel
First of all, log in to the OVHcloud Control Panel, click
Domains(1) in the services bar on the left-hand side, then choose the domain name concerned.
In the General information box (2), you will see Web hosting with free email. Click
... on the right-hand side, then
The activation window will appear. Step 1 will detail the plan and its price — click
Next. For Step 2, choose the changes you need to make to your DNS zone:
|No changes||No changes to the DNS zone, no impact on the website and emails.|
|The A and MX records of example.com||The domain name will point to the IP address of the Start 10M hosting plan. The OVHcloud email servers will also be applied to the domain name.|
|The A record of example.com||The domain name will point to the Start 10M hosting plan, with no modifications made to the email servers.|
|The MX records of example.com||The domain name will point to the OVHcloud email servers without any change to how the hosting plan is pointed.|
No databases are included with Start 10M free hosting. If your project requires a database, we recommend browsing our Web Hosting plans, which include them.
You simply need to read and confirm the terms and conditions for the plan in step 3, then
Confirmthe summary in step 4.
Once you have placed your order, you will be sent an email containing the FTP connection details for your Start 10M hosting plan.
