Step 1: Settings

Tap the "Settings" icon.

In our example, we configure an Exchange 2013 account on an iPhone 4 iOS 7.0.3.

For Private Exchange, enter the name of the server you chose when you installed it (see Step 6).

Make sure that you are connected to the internet via 3G or Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Mail, Contacts, Calendar

Under "Settings", go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendar".

Here, you can add your Exchange 2013 account.

Step 3: Add an email account

You will see an interface where the different email accounts already set up on your device are listed.

Tap on "Add an account" to continue.

Step 4: Email account type

Select "Microsoft Exchange" as the account type.

Step 5: Email account settings

Enter the following details about your Exchange 2013 account:

Email: your full Exchange 2013 email address.

Password: the Exchange 2013 account password that you set up in the Web Control Panel.

"Description": the display name of the account in the mailbox client, e.g. Exchange 2013.

You can test the settings of your hosted Exchange 2013 account in OWA.

Click "Continue".

Step 6: Advanced account settings

Now enter your Exchange account details.

"Email": your full email address.

"Exchange Server": enter the address of your Exchange 2013 server. In our example, the address is ex.mail.ovh.net. For Private Exchange, enter the server name you chose when you installed Exchange 2013.

"Domain": this is optional, but we advise you to enter it.

"Username": your full email address.

"Password": your Exchange 2013 account password as defined in the Web Control Panel.

"Description": The display name of the account in your email client.

Click "Next" to continue.

Step 7: Synchronise Exchange services

You can choose to synchronise different services with your Exchange 2013 account.

After making your selection, click "Save" to continue.

Step 8: Finish up

Your account should now be configured correctly.
